Your role and responsibilities

In this role you will play a critical role in managing the Medium Voltage Drives (MVD) installed base information. Your accountabilities and responsibilities span the entire data value chain. You will drive the development of the tools and databases, such as MOR and its integration to other back-end databases. In addition, you will be responsible for increasing the data quality in the system by working with our internal partners and to consume the data to provide insights to assist operational and strategic decision making in the MVD Service organization. This role is open globally, but location is set in ABB Offices in Poland (Lodz or Krakow), Finland (Helsinki), US (New Berlin) or Switzerland (Turgi).The work model for the role is: hybrid #LI-hybrid. You will be mainly accountable for: • Developing a strategy for installed-base databases and tools in collaboration with MVD Service and System Drives MVD, ensuring seamless integration, optimization of existing systems, and alignment with business needs. • Acting as an interface between Motion Services, ABB Switzerland IS, and other key stakeholders to drive the implementation of application changes, enhance system functionality, and support data-driven decision-making in operations and strategy. • Organizing user training, acceptance testing, and documentation while fostering a power-user community, promoting knowledge sharing, and leveraging key business tools (MOR, Serialive, SSO, ERP, configurators) to improve operational efficiency. • Developing tools, Python scripts, and Power BI interfaces to process and visualize data, improving data quality through structured methods and strategies, creating real-time indicators for data accuracy and timeliness, and managing investment proposals and budgets to ensure adherence to project plans.

Qualifications for the role

• Bachelor's or higher degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Large Data Management, or an equivalent field.
• 3-5 years of experience in a similar role with demonstrated stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Ability to explain complex technology, strategies, and conclusions in simple terms.
• Fluency in English both written and spoken
• Knowledge of Motion tools landscape and/or ABB Medium Voltage Drives would be beneficial.
• Experience in developing scripts in Python, MATLAB etc. and understanding large data models would be highly valued.
