The NOV Pathway Rotational Program offers recent college graduates the opportunity to obtain meaningful work experiences through a structured rotational program. The program duration is one year with 4-month rotations. The program is designed to help participants develop strong functional/technical expertise and business knowledge through challenging, hands-on assignments and exposure to various groups across NOV. Toward the end of the program, participants will work with their management support team to identify full-time positions that best suit individual skillsets as well as company needs.
Participants remain on one career track based on education and career interest. Each career track has its own training and experience-based learning objectives, and knowledge and performance are evaluated following each rotation.

The Engineer specializes in the design, analysis and development of new products & processes, provide maintenance and manufacturing support for existing products, supervise testing of drilling rig equipment, and vendor product selection.

Job Summary :
The Engineer specializes in the design, analysis and development of new products & processes, provide maintenance and manufacturing support for existing products, supervise testing of drilling rig equipment, and vendor product selection.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
- Preparation of fabrication, assembly drawings for drilling rig equipment, engineering calculations and technical purchase for drilling rig and components, proposal & concept drawings.
- Supports & Coordinates with internal and external resources (service, sales & marketing, purchasing, project management, engineering) and brings significant problems encountered to senior engineer's attention.
- Interaction with NOV groups, customers and vendors through the quoting, scheduling, cost reviewing, design, assembly, and delivery processes; assisting to resolve challenges and questions.
- Demonstrate the capability to work independently on complex and multiple projects requiring judgment to resolve problems.
- Help review contract documents and develop project plans to define tasks, schedules, expenditures and responsibilities for the projects assigned as required.
- Support production in building product models, while assisting field operations and installations in Canada and aboard.
- Participation in preparation of quality, inspection, and Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) documents for drilling rig equipment.
- Ensure quality assurance on all projects and address Engineering Change Notices (ECN).
- Evaluate new and existing products for possible improvements while utilizing field data and customer feedback
- Familiarize yourself with operational controls such as safe working practices and job hazard analysis as appropriate to specific work tasks. Assistance with development, promotion and review of these processes and documentation could be required.
- Responsible to follow all applicable company and corporate policies, guiding principles, procedures and programs; including but not limited to the process map, support processes, health, safety and environmental requirements.
- Update and forecast new estimates to accurately monitor projects.
- Project management and coordination as required
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualification Requirements (Minimum Education and Experience):
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
- Eligible for registration, an Engineer in training(EIT) or a member of APEGA
- Ability to read and interpret Engineering handbooks.
- While no Experience is required, 1 - 2years of experience is considered an ASSET
- Excellent Communication skills (verbal and written)
- Advance Microsoft office knowledge.
Technical Requirements (software or program knowledge needed)
- AutoCAD is used.
- MathCad, SAFI and Inventor knowledge is an asset
