About the Role

Position: Supply Planning Specialist
Location: Melbourne
Indicative Term of Contract: 12 months

The ANZ Supply Planning Specialist ensures smooth supply chain operations by bridging strategic planning and execution. Reporting to the ANZ Supply Planning Manager, you will support supply plan implementation, conduct data analysis, and coordinate with 3rd Party and Global Intercompany suppliers to maintain supply continuity and minimize disruptions.

This position requires a combination of analytical skills, supply chain knowledge, and strong communication abilities to address challenges and optimize processes effectively. With responsibility for ensuring the smooth delivery of 75ML of imported and locally purchased products annually.

Accountabilities
  • Convert System generated MRP and DRP messages through the planning system, ensuring alignment with forecasts and supplier production plans.
  • Monitor Supplier DIFOT and support the Supply Planner to establish root causes across the value chain, feeding into issue resolution with suppliers where appropriate.
  • Coordinate with 3P and Global Intercompany suppliers to confirm orders and track deliveries.
  • Identify risks related to forecast variability, lead times, or geopolitical challenges, and collaborate with the Supply Planner to develop contingency plans.
  • Support issue resolution, including supply delays or quality concerns, by escalating to the Supply Planner or Manager as needed.
  • Maintain accurate master data in planning systems to support decision-making.
  • Provide backup support to the ANZ Supply Planner for short term leave periods.

Educations/Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 2 years in Supply Planning
  • Advanced knowledge of ERP systems and Supply Planning functionality
  • Strong customer service focus
  • Demonstrated capability in problem-solving techniques
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence others to achieve desired outcomes
  • Ability to think laterally and develop new concepts
  • Expertise in analyzing and interpreting data
  • Advanced financial analysis skills
  • Proficiency in vendor management and negotiation
  • Advanced understanding of logistical operations
  • Expertise in KPI management and auditing

Desirable Criteria
  • APICS certification highly desirable
  • Experience in supply or demand planning
  • Ability to build rapport and influence, both internally and externally
  • Ability to work both autonomously and within a team environment, both ANZ and in Asia Pacific region, leveraging relationships and influencing outcomes
  • Confident, able to communicate clearly and resolve issues
  • Ability to cope with fast paced, changing environments.
