Process Gas Analytical Sales Manager

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to further develop, continuously assess and maintain an effective sales strategy, including responsibility for sales in accordance with ABB's overarching strategy to improve ABB market penetration and realize growth aspirations in the assigned Analytical Gas Portfolio. Your goal will be to achieve both qualitative and quantitative sales targets to ensure sustainable order growth, revenues, profitability, market share, and customer satisfaction. You will also showcase your expertise by identifying and creating opportunities to proactively lead and collaborate within the sales organization (ABB cross divisional business and direct sales to market) to exceed the sales targets through high performance activities. The work model for the role is: hybrid #LI-Hybrid. This role can be done from multiple locations in Australia: Notting Hill, VIC; Moorebank, NSW; Darra, QLD; Perth, WA. This role is key to contributing to the Gas Analytics Product Portfolio within Australia focusing on optimizing Continuous Gas Analytics, Gas Chromatography and Leak Detection, applications along with the routes to market for a world leading gas measurement portfolio. You will be mainly accountable for: • Sales Strategy - continuous improvement in creating, planning and implementing a regional/local sales strategy and executing strategic business development initiatives for the Business Area / Product Portfolio. • Identifying and driving the development of new market opportunities in the designated markets and ensures know-how sharing and cross-collaboration within the businesses. • Builds, grows and maintains strong relationships with key decision makers with end user customers and mutually beneficial networks and organizations. • Preparing and supporting in technical and commercial offers in coordination with the bid and proposal department and/or the Marketing Manager

Qualifications for the role

  • Understands process control philosophies for applying key value add measurements (Quantitative & Qualitative) to optimize online manufacturing processes in the energy & emissions sector within Australia, including global drivers and application trends for Gas Analytical Technologies measurements (e.g. FT-IR, GC, Continuous Gas analyzers UV/IT/TCD & others)
  • You have experience in highly Technical Sales & Solutions ideally managing a Product Portfolio with complex Project & Product Sales Solutions.
  • Highly adept in MS Word, Excel, and SAP
  • You are innovative around teamwork and collaboration with end user clients and internal stakeholders being seen as a key business partner by building relationships in a consultative methodology.
  • Qualification in Electrical/Instrumentation/Mechatronics or Automation
  • You are at ease communicating in English
