Your role and responsibilities

If you know how to manage large technical control system greenfield projects up to 300 mill. DKK, we have just the right job for you. At least if you find pharma production and automation as exciting as we do. We have a historically interesting pipeline of automation related projects, primarily at the giant pharma site in Kalundborg. You will lead various interdisciplinary teams of sub-Project Managers and Engineers from both Denmark and our global organization. You will be based at our office in Ballerup and Kalundborg, where you will be close to other project managers in the PMO as well as colleagues in our engineering departments. Flexibility related to work-ing from home is naturally a part of everyday life in ABB. All projects are centered on implementation off ABB's 800xA automation/control system and cover design, procurement, testing, delivery, and commissioning. Your responsibilities: • Manage the project to final delivery - with lots of direct customer contact. • Manage a complex project setup with interfaces the customer representative and to other sub-suppliers like buildings and process equipment. • Create and manage project plans, follow-up, and coordinate activities within the project team. • Identify and secure necessary approvals for all changes in project scope, budget and/or schedule. • Contract management, coordinate with procurement and manage subcontractors. • Motivate and guide the team(s) of control system specialists from Denmark and abroad. • Spot opportunities for additional sales and interact with the right people to turn ideas into projects. • Ensure cost, quality, and time on what typically is ABB's responsibility, which includes electri-cal & automation engineering, purchasing, installation and commissioning. • Create and manage project plans, follow-up, and coordinate activities within the project team. • Identify and secure necessary approvals for all changes in project scope, budget and/or schedule.

Qualifications for the role

• 10+ years of project experience including at least five years as Project Manager, preferably from pharma related automation projects.
• Experience with automation/Control system projects.
• Proven track-record of project management involving project with a heavy load of man-hours.
• Proven track-record of the ability to navigate in a complex customers setup and many inter-faces to sub-contractors on the project.
• A project manager certification such as PRINCE2, IPMA etc. Experience with contract man-agement and managing subcontractors Motivation for building knowledge in the pharma do-main.
• Overview, structure, and proactive problem-solving skills - the classic project management DNA
• Negotiation skills - you know when to hold firm and when to compromise with equally good feeling for the mood and overall relationship.
• Good English skills, written and spoken (Danish skills are an advantage but not a prerequisite for applying)
