This position reports to
Sales Manager
Your role and responsibilities
In this role, you will have the opportunity to lead sales growth and strategic customer engagement activities related to Marine Systems products, systems, and services within the short-distance shipping segment. You will ensure that the Business Line Marine Systems and related sales units substantially improve their sales, margins, market share, and customer satisfaction in the selected market segments. You will also showcase your knowledge by developing and implementing a market-based strategy and enhancing cross-division and cross-region business-led collaborations for the specific market segment. This position is located in one of the ABB Marine & Ports locations in Europe. The work model for the role is hybrid: #LI-hybrid You will be mainly accountable for: • Identifying growth opportunities, trends, and customer needs within the segment. • Creating and managing a segment-specific sales plan and action roadmap. • Securing profitable sales growth by developing customer portfolios in the short-distance segment. • Reinforcing global sales efficiency and performance. • Aligning segment strategy with overall business and sales strategy. • Building and maintaining long-term relationships with key customers. • Acting as the main point of contact for strategic accounts. • Work closely with product management and service teams.

Qualifications for the role
- Experience in sales and business development, with an extensive background in the marine market.
- Proficient in completing sales targets and promoting business growth.
- Adept strategist with the ability to develop and implement comprehensive sales plans.
- Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders at all levels.
- Experience in monitoring sales metrics, analyzing performance, and making data-driven decisions.
- Capability to respond efficiently to market changes and adjust strategies to remain competitive.
- Proficiency in English.
