Your role and responsibilities

As our Account Manager, we entrust you with a region within the emergency lighting team. You will extensively discuss the trends of our top products in emergency lighting with companies, such as safety, sustainability, and digitalization. You will excite them about the latest developments and advise them on the possibilities that ABB can offer. In this way, you help make their buildings smart, safe, and future-proof. We don't need to tell you that every customer deserves a tailored solution. You are already busy investigating the specific customer needs. This way, you identify sales opportunities and take action at precisely the right moment to offer our solutions and services. Our service doesn't stop there. Together with the customer, you actively work to realize their ambitions. You advise the best fitting solution for the customer's needs by: • Regularly consulting with the (technical) sales support team about new solutions and developments. • Actively maintaining and expanding your network at all levels within the customer's organization. • Further developing your commercial and technical skills through our training programs. • Converting quotes into concrete sales results. • Contributing ideas for marketing actions.

Qualifications for the role

• You value experienced colleagues for their wisdom. But occasionally, you follow your own compass. We are curious about what you will discover then.
• As ABB representative, you can also empathize well with customers and quickly uncover their needs.
• At least 5 years of commercial experience, gained in a field position in the electrical engineering sector. For example, as a technical account manager or field service employee at a manufacturer or engineering company.
• Preferably already knowledgeable about emergency lighting or the ambition to develop this specialty.
• Bachelor's work and thinking level, preferably also with knowledge of electrical engineering.
• Good communication skills, both in Dutch and English.
• A driver's license B.
