Account Manager - Emergency lighting

The emergency lighting is a legal safety requirement in every commercial and public building. It plays a vital role in building compliance, occupant safety, and smart infrastructure. You'll help our customers make sure their buildings are safe, future-ready, and compliant. We are a small and agile team in Belgium, working closely with colleagues in the Netherlands and Belgium, where ABB holds a strong market position. You'll be part of a cross-border collaboration, with the support of experienced teammates and the strength of a global organization behind you.

Your role and responsibilities

As Account Manager, you'll take ownership of a region within Belgium and: • Inspire and advise clients on solutions in emergency lighting - with themes like building safety, digitalization, and sustainability at the core. • Identify and act on commercial opportunities at the right time, with a consultative approach tailored to each client. • Partner with our technical support team to design the best solutions and ABB sales organization for project coordination and collaboration. • Expand your network within customer organizations - from facility managers to safety experts and distribution partners. • Follow up on leads, turn quotes into results, and contribute to marketing initiatives. • Continue to develop your technical and commercial skills with ABB's training and development programs.

Qualifications for the role

• A bold, curious personality - you're proactive, hands-on, and ready to connect with key players in the Belgian market.
• 3+ years of commercial experience in electrical engineering, ideally in a field role (e.g., technical account manager, service engineer).
• Affinity with or motivation to specialize in emergency lighting.
• A Bachelor-level education (or equivalent experience), preferably with a technical background.
• Strong communication skills in Dutch and English.
• Driver's license B (you'll be on the road regularly).
• A team player who values collaboration and learning from others - and brings a few good ideas of their own.
