We have an opportunity for a Software Engineer - Avionics Displays to join our Honeywell Aerospace team in Cracow (Poland). In this role you'll have the opportunity to apply your knowledge of engineering fundamentals to complete project tasks regarding applications that are essential for pilots during flight. You will interact with internal customers and team members in order to facilitate the completion of products to customer specifications.

We have an opportunity for a Software Engineer - Avionics Displays to join our Honeywell Aerospace team in Cracow (Poland). In this role you'll have the opportunity to apply your knowledge of engineering fundamentals to complete project tasks regarding applications that are essential for pilots during flight. Key responsibilities:
- Design, implement, test, and document real-time embedded aviation software for Cockpit Display Systems following DO-178C guidelines.
- Complete pre-defined project subtasks to meet customer specifications and ensure timely, specification-compliant work.
- Test the developed avionics Display & Graphics software on real avionics hardware/platforms and assess new requirements' complexity and effort.
- Exchange task-level information with team members and participate in project meetings and presentations.
- Mentor junior engineers to solve technical challenges and break down complex requirements into meaningful advancements.
Key requirements:
- University degree in a relevant field.
- 2 years of commercial experience in C++/C development. Python is a plus.
- Willingness to tackle ambiguous tasks, adopt new technologies/tools, and deliver quickly within an international environment with virtual teams.
- Experience with OpenGL and Vulkan code, knowledge of graphics rendering pipeline is considered an advantage. Being familiar with FPGA is a plus.
- Advanced command of the English language and ability to work in complex aerospace environments.
