Senior Safety Specialist

Location: Portsmouth, VA

Start Date: March 2025 - Long Term Contract

Pay Rate: $52 Per Hour

Job Description:

We are seeking a Senior Safety Specialist to join our team for a project in Portsmouth, VA. As a Senior Safety Specialist, you will be responsible for overseeing and implementing safety protocols to ensure the well-being of our team members and the success of our renewable energy project.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement safety policies and procedures in compliance with industry standards and regulations
• Control of work and referencing permits experience
• Incident investigations experience
• Experience working at heights
• Auditing Experience

Required Skills and Experience:

• 5+ years of experience in safety management, preferably in the renewable energy industry
• OSHA 500, CHST or Bachelors in Safety
• Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and industry best practices
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
