Key Responsibilities
Key job responsibilities:
- Assign harmonized tariff classifications to Honeywell import/export shipments.
- Support Customs brokers with HTS classification requests
- Upload and maintain electronic import files in record retention repository for audit purposes
- HTS classification maintenance of items database in SAP-GTS system.
- Support to HTS challenges, work with direct manager and Legal on classification rulings as required
- Analyze customs tariffs & duty rates
Collaborate with other departments as required (FTA, Logistics, procurement, engineering, etc.)
YOU MUST HAVE
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as Trade compliance, Customs, international affairs or related.
- Demonstrated ability to correctly assign harmonized tariff codes to products
- HTS Customs classification experience.
- Knowledge of import/export environment
- Demonstrated problem-solving-ability, communication skills and global mindset
- Detail-oriented, possessing good analytical skills; able to anticipate problems and diffuse situations
- Self-motivated and able to simultaneously manage multiple time-sensitive tasks, with little or no direct supervision
- Customer-focused and a strong team member, able to shift roles as required by the group dynamic
- Advanced English
- Proficiency in three of the following: Microsoft Excel, Power BI, Word, power point, SAP, GTS, Oracle, Databases management
