Join our team as a Laboratory Technician II and support our client in the specialty chemicals industry. This is a full-time contract position in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.
Role Overview
- Perform routine and non-routine laboratory analysis and wet chemistry on product and in-process samples to ensure quality assurance and control for plant operations.
- Calibrate and maintain test equipment to ensure accurate data generation and records.
- Utilize analytical instruments to address quality assurance and control issues.
- Prepare chemical stock solutions and reagents, as well as set preparation standards.
- Receive direction and support from lab supervisors and chemists.
- Work with moderate direction and utilize your skills and knowledge to excel in the position.
Skills & Qualifications
- Polytechnic graduate with a background in Chemical, Process, or Technical Engineering.
- Experience in quality control systems advantageous.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in laboratory analysis and wet chemistry.
- Computer-literate with the ability to use analytical instruments and quality control systems.
- Preferable experience in wet chemistry, quality control systems, and analytical instruments.
