Your role and responsibilities
In this role, you will leading the provision of contract management services to the Local Business Unit / Product Group or Country, ensuring all contract management activities are executed in accordance with Group/Division/Business Unit directives and instructions including Company procedures and the Contract Management Framework for Process Automation, Energy Industries business. The work model for the role is Hybrid. #LI-Hybrid This role is contributing to the Process Automation Energy Industries division in Houston, TX. You will be mainly accountable for: • Risk Management: Lead the identification, assessment, and mitigation of risks throughout contract management/ implementation activities; Develop and implement risk mitigation and opportunity plans in collaboration with project and proposal managers based on contract requirements. • Early Risk Identification: Identify potential risks early in the project planning stages, including contract terms, conditions, and specifications; In coordination with Legal team, highlight areas of potential risk in the contract baseline and provide guidance on general contractual issues. • Management Advice: Provide expert advice on risk management practices and strategies to project teams and stakeholders; Support bid go/no-go decisions based on risk assessment of contract terms and conditions; Seek advice from the Legal team to draft and finalize agreements during project execution phases. • Project Execution Involvement: Actively participate in project execution to ensure risk management strategies are effectively implemented; Monitor and ensure timely and accurate execution of commercial aspects of contracts, including payments, claims, and variation orders; Notify and liaise with the Legal team to report major claims and keep them updated on critical developments during project execution. • Continuous improvement: Engage in project reviews to evaluate risk management effectiveness and recommend improvements; Assess the success of contracts and determine lessons learned for future contracting; Document and communicate any deficiencies found during the closeout process to all appropriate parties.

Qualifications for the role
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, Law or Economics or similar
- 5+ years of experience in project business, contract management; preferably in Engineering Procurement and Commissioning (EPC) domain
- Demonstrated experience in management of project scope, cost, schedules and vendors/subcontractors
- Sound knowledge of contract management and good understanding of contract law and project planning and execution
- Hands on player with strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Cross border and international project experience is an added advantage
- Up to 5% domestic and/or international travel may be required but rare
