Your role and responsibilities
You will be accountable for driving the long-term profitable growth of ABB's Continuous Gas Analyzers Product Line within the Process Automation Measurement and Analytics Business Line. Reporting directly to the Global Business Line (BL) Analytical Marketing Manager, you will be in charge of managing the global business and product portfolio through all life-cycle phases. You will deliver on our ambitious growth plan, aligned with market needs and the Business Line's strategy and targets. Key responsibilities: You will be accountable for driving end-to-end business performance for your product line, collaborating closely with key BL functions. You will pull together key stakeholders and make critical decisions to steer the organization toward increased market share and profitability to achieve our long-term goals. You will manage a global product portfolio (including software, hardware, and services) throughout its entire life cycle. You will lead continuous business analysis of the existing portfolio and evaluate new opportunities, including investment alternatives and potential partnerships. You will define the brand and product portfolio offering and positioning. You will develop and execute a business plan and strategy for your Product Line to drive and support sustainable, profitable growth. You will track performance metrics and implement pricing and cost measures to maximize profitability. You will work with global front-end sales (FES) organizations to develop and implement both short- and long-term execution plans, ensuring full alignment between Product Line strategy and sales teams for optimal results. You will manage your product management team and oversee the product line portfolio across its life cycle. You will deliver comprehensive market intelligence, define market segmentation, and identify portfolio gaps relative to competitors and emerging market opportunities. You will actively manage the portfolio to sunset obsolete or underperforming products. Together with your team, you will define internal product development roadmaps and external technology acquisition strategies to close identified gaps. You will identify partnership opportunities and contribute to partnership agreements, joint ventures, or acquisitions. You will play an active role in M&A activities related to your product line. You will work closely with key customers and the global account management team to gain deep market insights and drive increased market share. You will collaborate with global Marketing, Marcoms, and Sales teams to define marketing plans, including modern marketing communication activities, training initiatives, and sales campaigns. You will lead cross-functional teams at both local and global levels, in collaboration with local managers, to ensure a world-class customer experience. You will oversee operations, quality, development, sales, and service functions throughout the product life cycle. You will ensure that the value chain and global footprint are competitive and aligned with market needs. You will oversee localization, technology transfers, and trading model strategies to maximize time-to-market, competence development, customer service levels, and profitability. You will recommend the global manufacturing footprint for your product line. You will drive the profitability and life cycle of your portfolio by defining global pricing strategies and managing global frame agreements together with your product management team. You will initiate and lead cross-functional and cross-organizational new product and solutions introductions, while monitoring and influencing the development of standards and market trends. You will be in charge of proposing the annual development budget for your product line and will closely monitor execution to ensure delivery of expected product costs, feature sets, and time-to-market requirements. You will ensure your team delivers a high-quality customer value proposition for current and future products, clearly communicating positioning within the portfolio and across relevant segments and channels. You will be responsible for the annual business planning process, aligning sales demand and supply, monitoring global sales target fulfillment and tender volumes, and taking action as needed.

Qualifications for the role
- To be successful in this role, you bring a university degree (BS, MS, or Ph.D.) in a technical field such as engineering or a quantitative science. You have more than 10 years of experience in global business management and a proven track record of leadership in sales, engineering, and operational projects. Your background includes strategic and operational planning with full profit and loss responsibility in a multinational organization. You have a sharp ability to anticipate customer needs and market trends, combined with strong communication, influencing, coaching, and leadership skills.
