We are seeking a skilled Gas Plant Operator to join our team in Creola, Alabama. As a key member of our organization, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the safety and efficiency of our gas plant operations.

Role Overview

• Monitor and operate all equipment including pumps, natural gas compressors, valves, tanks, and other vessels
• Maintain a safe work environment by inspecting equipment for safety problems, leaks, or wear and tear
• Procure necessary materials and supplies to complete daily tasks
• Read and operate HMI screens and/or local & automatic gauges to determine oil, gas, and water flow rates
• Complete and record all assigned daily process, safety critical, and regulatory readings
• Report any anomalies or equipment issues to supervisor
• Tighten connections and grease valves as needed
• Respond to alarms and emergencies while on shift
• Adhere to established work schedule and attendance standards
• Support and work well within a team concept
• Take direction from lead operator and supervisor
• Assist in other necessary activities as competent

Skills & Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in the oilfield industry
• In-depth understanding of gas plant operations and processes
• Ability to work unsupervised and anticipate and correct problems before they occur
• Strong mathematical and mechanical skills
• Basic computer skills
• Ability to work in adverse conditions
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Willingness to work a rotating schedule

Education & Experience

• Certifications in relevant areas such as ITIL or Microsoft are advantageous
• Minimum 3 years of experience in network maintenance, infrastructure planning, and relevant technologies
