Are you a Sales professional looking for the next step in your career? You're in luck as Emerson has a great opportunity for you! Based in Singapore, the Director, Sales SEAT will be leading a team of Regional Sales Managers for Isolation Valves (ISV) business unit (part of Final Control business group) for the Southeast Asia & Taiwan region. This position reports directly to the Director Sales Asia Pacific and will be working closely with country ISV sales leaders, channel partners, business development managers and SBU teams to drive orders performance for ISV SEAT region.

In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • Set yearly and monthly financial goal for distribution channels and help them exceed those goals. Track and report monthly performance.
  • In partnership with respective functional leaders, participate in the annual budgeting exercise.
  • Provide guidance to country sales leaders to meet and exceed annual targets.
  • Identify white space in assigned territories and develop strategies to capture white space opportunity.
  • Collaborate with global project pursuit leaders to identify and win projects in SEAT region.
  • Work closely with the product marketing teams on new market developments and product updates.
  • Become an expert on the products we represent, customers and industries we serve.
  • Provide sales and product training for the distribution channels, end users, EPCs to drive preference.
  • Develop, record and present insights on the SEAT market to AP, regional and global management including but not limited to competitors, pricing, product gaps etc.
  • Has full ownership of measuring, tracking & reporting progress for overall business for Southeast Asia markets.

You are capable to be visionary and able to articulately paint credible pictures and visions of possibilities and likelihoods.

For This Role, You Will Need:

  • Engineering Degree or equivalent experience.
  • 10 years of sales experience, preferably in Valves, or related industry.
  • Experience managing high performing diverse teams and leading with empathy.
  • Ability to analyze complex situations and ability to define and clearly articulate a plan of action.
  • A proficiency in solution-based selling (not price negotiation only) is a must.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English - knowledge in Chinese will be an added advantage.
