Advanced Software Engineer - Cloud Observability forHoneywell International, Inc. in Atlanta, GA

Responsibilities:
Identify, implement, and manage observability solutions for IoT software products on the Azure Cloud platform.
Ensure seamless integration of observability tools with Azure services to monitor and optimize cloud infrastructure performance.
Gather and analyze Synthetic Monitoring and Real User Monitoring (RUM) requirements to implement comprehensive end-to-end observability solutions for Honeywell Connected Enterprise (HCE) software products delivered via the cloud.
Understand Site Reliability Engineering focus areas, including KPIs, SLOs, and SLIs, to maintain and support products.
Collaborate with product operations, engineering teams, and developers in day-today operations, utilizing industry-leading observability management tools such as Dynatrace.

Location: Atlanta, GA
40 hours/week

YOU MUST HAVE:
Qualified applicants must havea Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Engineering, Computer Science, ora related field, and 3 years of experience with Elastic Stack, and otherindustry-leading Observability Tools such as Dynatrace, DataDog, Splunk. Fullterm of experience must include: Elastic Stack Expertise: proficiency indesigning, implementing, maintaining, and administering the Elastic Stack (bothon-premise and cloud), including Elastic Master Nodes, Data Nodes, Logstash,Kibana, and Kafka; ability to transform log data ingestion pipelines, createdashboards with log-based insights, and configure alerts and visualizations;experience integrating Elastic Stack with third-party tools to enhancemonitoring and observability capabilities; expertise in designing and managingElasticsearch Common Schema, including the creation of index schemas andmappings to efficiently organize and optimize log data; ability to assesslogging requirements and design custom solutions tailored to specific observabilityneeds; In-depth understanding of Azure Infrastructure and Platform services;strong foundation in cloud monitoring, observability, and the ability toimplement and manage advanced solutions to ensure the optimal performance andreliability of our IoT software products. Telecommuting permitted 2 times perweek.
