We have an opportunity for a Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer tojoin our Honeywell team in Brno.

As a Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our cloud platform infrastructure. You will be responsible for deploying applications, managing the cloud platform's availability and performance, and implementing automation processes to streamline operations. Additionally, you will have mentoring responsibilities, guiding and supporting junior engineers in their professional development. Your expertise in infrastructure management, deployment, and programming skills will be instrumental in delivering reliable and scalable solutions to our customers.

You will report directly to our Senior Manager, Cloud Platform Engineering, and you'll work out of Brno on a hybrid work schedule, 3 days in office, 2 from home.

In this role, you will have a direct impact on the operational excellence of our cloud platform infrastructure. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand their requirements and provide guidance on best practices for deploying and managing applications on our platform. Your focus on automation and continuous improvement will drive efficiency and reliability in our operations.

Key responsibilities:

• Monitor and manage the availability, performance, and scalability of the cloud platform, proactively identifying and resolving issues.
• Implement automation processes to streamline operations and improve efficiency.
• Mentor and support junior engineers, providing guidance and fostering their professional development.
• Continuously evaluate and improve operational processes and procedures.
• Participate in incident response and root cause analysis to drive continuous improvement.

Key requirements:

• Strong experience in infrastructure engineering, platform engineering, site reliability engineering, or a related role with a focus on cloud
• Proficiency in at least one major cloud platform (Azure, AWS, or GCP)
• Strong knowledge of infrastructure management and deployment processes
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools, preferably Terraform, Ansible, etc.
• Strong programming skills, preferably in Python

We Value:

• Certifications in cloud technologies (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Certified Engineer)
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as computer science, engineering, or a related field.
• Master's degree in a technical discipline.
