Activities

This position requires expert knowledge of SAP, Information Systems, application and IT technology, and operational processes across various IT platforms. The process expert will play an essential role to increase efficiency and automation across processes for supported business activities through better usage of technology. Has a proven track record of managing diverse technical staff and resources in multiple projects, and can establish direction and standards, while maintaining a high level of user trust and confidence.

PROCESS
  • Deliver process improvement workgroup with the key players in the business.
  • Develop with the business some enhancement initiative and action plan.
  • Prepare and present to business and IS management the proposal.
  • Recommend solution and controls and assist for the implementation in coherence with the global IS strategy.
  • Support regional implementation of the global standardized procedures and processes of the governance.
  • Responsible for the local processes in line with the business process and global model: Validate all changes before submitting for analysis and realization to outsourced teams. Assist the business for testing.
  • Utilizing presentation slides, change management plans and/or project plans, workshops and whitepapers, practice methodologies and tools, policies and procedures, and/or other standard business communications.

PROJECT
  • Support regional implementation of the global projects aligned with the branch strategy and the BU/LBU processes.
  • Work to enhance project deliver by Utilizing proximity to Business in AMAS.
  • Follow the IS project methodology as set by TGITS AMAS.
  • Plans, directs and coordinates activities to ensure project goals are accomplished within defined constraints.
  • Identifies and schedules project deliverables, milestones, and required tasks.
  • Demonstrating success defining project scope and project implementation plans and establishing measurable criteria concerning deliverability.
  • Coordinate project activities amongst the functional and technical team members consultants.
  • Provides project management expertise and leads key project work streams, working with the full project life cycle, following project Governance processes.
  • Scope, plan and manage projects through the entire life cycle, ensuring delivery to time, cost and quality.
  • Establish and maintain risk assessment to identify and assess the material risks that arise in their area of responsibility.
  • Ensure projects meets internal and external customer requirements.
  • Identify and evaluate project risks and issues and devise and implement effective mitigation strategies.

PROBLEM RESOLUTION
  • Research production problems and/or enhancement issues and make appropriate configuration changes to the system. Initiate action and evaluate issues to develop alternative solutions. Apply expert knowledge and experience to resolve problems.
  • Conduct day-to-day troubleshooting and break-fix activities to support of SAP production system.
  • Responsible for SAP QTC/IS OIL modules and components (e.g. SD, MM) by taking business problems and configuring those to configuring to SAP system to ensure all requirements are met.
  • Act as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) lead for all IS-OIL functions including but not limited to sales and purchase structures, physical sales, purchase/exchange deals/contracts, order processing, pricing (including F&A pricing), rail/truck/vessel/pipeline scheduling (TD and TSW), shipment actualization and invoicing (including integration with FI module).

CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT AND EFFICIENCY PROJECTS
  • Interact with all levels of business to analyze business requirements/processes. Translate high-level business requirements into detailed SAP functional specifications and design.
  • Configure SAP and develop/perform unit tests in accordance with specifications.
  • Recommend and implement approved process improvements or new functionality.
  • Provide advice and guidance to the business on various approaches by explaining industry best practices for business processes and executing solutions.
  • Have good knowledge of SAP releases and patches, including applying OSS notes.
  • Document business procedures, configuration changes, test scenarios, test plans and results, and client training materials.
  • Work in AMAS Power Platform Squad as member to promote citizen development and Copilot adoption
  • Work with APS Innovation Squad and use Business proximity to develop and promote APS products

DATA INTEGRATION AND CONFIGURATION
  • Write functional specifications and design for modifications and development of existing/new interfaces.
  • Ensure that the appropriate data gets to/from non-SAP systems for all process and functional integration requirements.
  • Designing, building, testing and deploying the SAP Customer solution components required for successful integrations to SAP and non-SAP systems.
  • Demonstrating success assisting clients in the implementation and support of SAP Customer solutions and improving business processes.
  • Identifying and addressing client needs, building, maintaining, and utilizing networks of client relationships and community involvement, communicating value propositions, managing resource requirements, project workflow, budgets, billing and collections, and preparing and/or coordinating complex written and verbal materials.

KNOWLEDGE TRANSFER / MENTOR
  • Develop and conduct SAP training and knowledge transfer to business clients.
  • Proactively train other IT resources to further develop their understanding of SAP application configuration and business processes.

Candidate Profile

  • Minimum bachelor's degree or equivalent industry experience. Engineering, Computer Science, MIS/business degree recommended.
  • 7+ years of SAP expertise or similar ERP with specialization in one or more functional domains.
  • Experience of managing and interacting with outsourced teams.
  • Experience working in domestic and international environments
  • Experience working with teams in multiple countries/locations within a region
  • Experience in Oil and Gas industry
  • Strong project management skills
  • Proven ability to influence and collaborate across all levels of organization.
  • Excellent writing and presentation skills with a strong teamwork attitude
  • Proficiency in English; French is a plus.
  • Travel is required.
