This position reports to
R&D Team Lead
Your role and responsibilities
In this role, you will have the opportunity to contribute significantly to successful project results in technology, software, product, and/or solution development, as well as associated Intellectual Property (IP). Each day, you will act as the first point of contact in Research and Development for specific prod-uct-related issues and maintenance. You will also showcase your expertise by identifying, proposing, and implementing innovative solutions The work model for the role is: #LI- Onsite, #LI- Hybrid This role is contributing to the ABB Services in Bangalore. You will be mainly accountable for: • Responsible for Analysis, Design and Development of PLC libraries for Energy transition. • Based on MRS, define product features. • Design and implement Product features based on requirements. • Propose innovative solutions for customer requirements. • Collaborate well with the team, to deliver the Product releases on time, with good quality. Should have good communication skills. • Align with assigned targets (time, cost, quality) and complete project deliverables. • Demonstrates sound understanding and usages of R&D processes and tools

Qualifications for the role
- BE / B. Tech / ME / M. Tech, Computer Science/ Electrical or/Electronics and communication / Electronics and Instrumentation.
- Experience: 8 to 12 years' experience in Software development using PLC programming
- Strong design skills with structured text, ladder programming
- Good to have: Knowledge in AC800/AC500 or straton PLCs. SCADA system (communication with IEC61850 or Modbus) knowledge will be good to have too.
- Should be innovative in nature. Should have good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Should have good knowledge on design concepts. Should analyse and provide estimation based on complexity of the tasks. Should be able to identify and fix defects.
- Responsible to provide input for technical documentation and online help. Should be able to provide inputs for creating test cases, for customer requirements.
