Summary:

Lead NI's business growth by expanding through Distributors, System Integration Partners, and OEMs! This role is responsible for driving accelerated revenue growth by aligning NI's portfolio with customer needs, developing a scalable partner strategy, and influencing product roadmaps and technology investments to enhance NI's market impact!

Success in this role requires strong commercial acumen, cross-functional leadership, and deep industry expertise to position NI as the preferred technology partner in Electrical Machinery, Life Sciences, and Energy segments.

Key Responsibilities

1. Business Growth & Strategy Development:
  • Develop and implement a scalable growth strategy for NI's broadbase business, with a strong focus on Partner and OEM channels.
  • Align NI's product and system offerings with market demands and emerging customer needs.
  • Collaborate with Sales, R&D, and Portfolio teams to ensure business goals align with industry trends and customer struggles.
  • Identify and implement new revenue opportunities, including expansion into high-growth markets.

2. Revenue Ownership & Execution:
  • Own and drive revenue targets for the Broadbase business, ensuring execution through Distributor and Partner sales channels.
  • Lead cross-functional efforts to supervise performance, identify execution gaps, and implement corrective actions.
  • Define key financial and business metrics to track success and advise strategic decisions.

3. Customer Advocacy & R&D Influence:
  • Serve as the voice of the customer, ensuring their needs shape product development and innovation efforts.
  • Partner with Product Management and R&D to influence technology roadmaps, ensuring investments align with critical market opportunities.
  • Drive adoption of NI-certified systems and solutions by improving product-market fit.

4. Distributor & Partner Relations:
  • Develop and strengthen relationships with System Integrators, Distributors, and OEMs to expand NI's market reach.
  • Establish clear business priorities and collaboration frameworks with partner networks.
  • Drive partner engagement initiatives that enhance sales execution, technical enablement, and revenue acceleration.

5. Product & Portfolio Strategy:
  • Define and implement strategies that align customer applications with NI's product portfolio and value proposition.
  • Ensure NI's software-defined systems and platform investments remain competitive and aligned with industry trends by providing timely, nuanced feedback.

6. Commercial & Business Leadership:
  • Explore new market opportunities to expand NI's SAM.
  • Provide strategic sales mentorship to drive market penetration and account expansion.
  • Lead and align cross-functional teams to implement business objectives efficiently.

7. Cross functional Leadership
  • Participate, engage and lead cross-functional teams to implement GTM strategies


Required Qualification:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • 5-8 years of experience in business development, with a focus on driving growth through partners in the industrial/electrical machinery, energy or life sciences sector.
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing successful business strategies in complex and competitive markets.
  • Proven technical skills that can help align customer applications with NI's product portfolio and value.
  • Strong financial acumen.
  • Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills with a history of building strong partner relationships.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while managing multiple priorities.
  • Willingness to travel as required
