The role

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Site construction Superintendent to join our Singapore Business Unit.

This Project aims to take over the existing asset and maximize the production in 2 phases. This is a fast-track project and schedule-oriented Design to enhance the production.

The Phase 1 will restore, upgrade, and develop the current plant (CPF1) including: Restoration of initial CPF1 capacity; building a new export pipeline (24", ~30km); restoration of CPF1 integrity and operability; flaring elimination and released water; development of new flowlines, pads, and electrification network for approximately 30 new wells; debottlenecking of the plant; upgrade of the Safety and Security facilities.

Our scope is to provide Engineering, Procurement services and Construction assistance (EPsCa) for the initial development phase of the field in Southern Iraq. The scope of services includes FEED, detailed design, procurement support, and construction and commissioning assistance.

Key Objectives

HSE activities:
  • Support and enforce project guidelines, HSE objectives and global improvement (e.g. referential, reporting, REX, audits, Maestro trainings, HSE action plans...)
  • Responsible of the respect of the HSE Rules and Company Specifications for his activity (also in term of QA & QC)
  • Attend HSE meetings and training when necessary
  • Initiate and/or Participate in Job Safety Analysis, make suggestions, stop dangerous situations, and report anomalies and dangerous acts
  • Conduct HSE Trade Meeting with CONTRACTOR


Asset Integrity:
  • Contributes to the Asset Integrity initiative by reporting any anomaly, defect, bad practice, lack of equipment, lack of competence that could result in a major HSE incident or loss of production


Daily Activities and missions:

Activities in several technical disciplines: Earthworks, civil engineering, building, piping, structure, electrical, instrumentation, scaffolding, cleaning
  • Focal point for all work packages and disciplines under his perimeter
  • Ability to work under SIMOPS work conditions with respect of TE reference
  • Follow up and ensure the selected Contractor's to carry out works in their premises in prefabrication and under construction on the Sites
  • Ensure the operational management of the Works Contract, logistics, setting up the site, interface with the Operator
  • Prepare, plan and coordinate operations in several disciplines in line with site manager and RFM manager
  • Ensure the Construction Engineering on behalf of the Client, check that carried out by the Contractor, with the constant concern for compliance with the Project Budget and Schedule
  • Ensure the proper execution of the works in compliance with safety and environmental protection procedures, technical specifications, budgets, and schedules
  • Optimize and follow up the work schedules, to do this check the good organization of the logistics and the Contractor's site
  • Ensure good coordination / interface between the Site (the Contractor and the Operator) and the Construction Manager, the various entities involved in the project (the Inspection, Maintenance, Production, Drilling and wells, Logistics departments, the Commissioning team, the organizations officials for the events, etc.)
  • Check the procedures and task sheets of the Companies, participate, or control the risk analyses, help in the preparation / check the work permits
  • Check the technical information provided by the Contractor and its consistency
  • Anticipate supplies for the smooth running of the site. (Verification of equipment or consumables provided by TEEPRH)
  • Ensure tracking of his activities (preparation, execution, performance, results) and prepare the relevant reporting to the management
  • Anticipate all potential problems, propose, if necessary, alternative "practical" solutions
  • Ensure the receipt, control, validate and transmission of all Contractors' documents
  • Ensure that RFM Process is followed
  • Supervise Pre-commissioning activities, formalize handover dossier to Field Operations, ensure that mark-up documentation is reflecting the site condition and forward those to Engineering
  • Establish the daily report (progress of work, number of people, highlights, etc.)
  • Validate and follow the scheduled work for his perimeter and ensure tracking
  • Make necessary arbitration between different disciplines, in order to have a safe, coherent and homogeneous works in all disciplines and to complete the job on time
  • Participate in periodic meetings and audits, (preparation or control of meeting minutes, planning meeting, regulars meeting with site Production)
  • Ensure that the necessary kick-off meetings for the relevant tasks are organized and conducted on time
  • Support / Substitute the Contractor when it becomes essential for the success of the Project
  • Maintain good relationships with contractors, displaying flexibility when needed while also enforcing necessary standards


Goals:

The Site Superintendent is responsible of all Construction works related to all different Project Construction Packages and modifications works in respect of the following:
  • Safety
  • Cost efficient
  • High quality according to specifications
  • In time
  • In line with legal aspects, and
  • With minimum disturbance CPF1 operations.

Will guarantee transparency in relations with subcontractors.

Expected:
  • We are looking for an experienced Site Superintendent in onshore Greenfield and brownfield project with a very good knowledge of General Specifications, rules, procedures and International Codes and Standards
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or construction field
  • 10 to 15 years of experience in the oil industry, with significant experience in Construction
  • Previous experience under SIMOPS works will be considered as a plus
  • Team player with ability to work collaboratively across complex project teams and interface between interdisciplinary departments and within an international team
  • Fluent in English, Arabic is a plus
  • Professional Experience (number of years): 10 - 15
  • The position will be based in Basra (Iraq) on rotational basis (4 On/4 Off)
