As an Experienced Hardware Engineer here at Honeywell, you will be a key contributor to the design and development of cutting-edge hardware solutions. You will play a critical role in leading and driving the hardware design process, ensuring the delivery of high-quality and reliable products.
You will report directly to our Hardware Engineering Supervisor, and you'll work out of our Seoul, South Korea location.
In this role, you will impact the Industrial Safety business by designing and developing hardware systems for fixed gas detectors. Your ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams in both domestic and foreign and define hardware requirements will enable seamless integration with other components and systems, enhancing the overall performance and functionality of our products.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead and drive the hardware design process, from concept to production for gas detection systems
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including FW, ME, QA, Manufacturing, Marketing to define hardware requirements and specifications
- Design and develop complex hardware systems for gas detection applications, including design documents, components selection including sensors, schematic capture, and PCB layout.
- Perform hardware testing and validation to ensure product performance and reliability about various environmental conditions including rough environmental conditions such as Oil & Gas, Marine, Chemical factory, Wastewater treatment and Mining applications.
- Ensure hardware designs comply with relevant general standards and regulations for electronics apparatus, as well as safety standards and regulations for use in explosive gas atmospheres such as ANSI/UL1203, IEC60079 and CSA C22.2.
- Ensure continuity of products released by identifying problems, finding root cause, solving problems, and improving design, of issues from production and fields
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies and deliver innovative gas detection systems to various industrial applications.
YOU MUST HAVE
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, mathematics
- 3+ years of experience in hardware design and development
- Strong knowledge of hardware design principles and methodologies
- Proficiency in schematic capture and PCB layout tools
- Experience with hardware testing and validation
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Excellent design risk analysis to prevent problems
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities
- Engineering communication through spoken and written English
WE VALUE
- Desired experience in designing fixed gas detectors/systems or gas sensors
- Knowledge of industry standards and best practices for general electronic apparatus (CE, EMC, IEC61010, IEC61508)
- Knowledge of industry standards and best practices for electronic apparatus used in explosive gas atmospheres (ANSI/UL1203, IEC60079, CSA C22.2)
- Excellent ability of FPGA, microcontroller-based designs, high-speed digital, analog and power conversion circuit design
- Excellent capability of reliability testing of electronic devices under various conditions
- Excellent ability of simulations for Hardware design review
- Excellent spoken and written English
