About the position:
The Industrial Internet of Things (IIOT) Advisor is part of the Technical Services organization that sits within the Chevron ENGINE Center will lead the development and execution of an enterprise IIOT strategy in partnership with Chevron Technical Center (CTC) technical teams and adopting Business Units across Upstream, Midstream, and Downstream across the globe. This position is responsible for helping establish the required standard sustaining processes, workflows, and organizational resource model.

10+ years of experience with skilled proficiency in process control network (PCN) instrumentation, controls and network systems design and construction, including process hazard analysis, safety and cybersecurity risk and design, control objective analysis and design, cost engineering, and device, equipment, and material selection.
Experience developing technical standards and contribute to industry standards development efforts.
Chevron ENGINE supports global operations, supporting business requirements across the world. Accordingly, the work hours for employees will be aligned to support business requirements. The standard work week will be Monday to Friday. Working hours are 8:00am to 5:00pm or 1:30pm to 10:30pm.

Terms of Use
The Industrial Internet of Things (IIOT) Advisor is part of the Technical Services organization that sits within the Chevron ENGINE Center will lead the development and execution of an enterprise IIOT strategy in partnership with Chevron Technical Center (CTC) technical teams and adopting Business Units across Upstream, Midstream, and Downstream across the globe. This position is responsible for helping establish the required standard sustaining processes, workflows, and organizational resource model.
Key responsibilities:
- Develop and communicate a clear IIOT technology vision, program execution and resource plans, technology and functional capability development, deployment, and sustainability roadmaps.
- Partner with CTC, functional and technical support teams to establish IIOT technology and infrastructure standards, device and equipment selection guidance, deployment and sustainment processes, workflows, and systems.
- Coordinate with CTC, functional and technical teams, and Business Units to define business unit organizational roles and training requirement to support and sustain scaled deployments.
- Coordinate with CTC and support adopting Business Units with IIOT strategy execution and establish and manage IIOT technology management systems and supporting metrics to measure and monitor program performance.
- Champion IIOT vision, strategy, and program execution through visible leadership and contribution with the IIOT Community of Practice (COP.)
- This position will require travel to business unit operational and field locations
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering (B.E./B.Tech.) from a deemed/recognized (AICTE) university
- 5+ years of experience developing process monitoring system designs and implementing IIOT sensors, devices, and IIOT data and communication network infrastructure, systems, and related industry protocols including MQTT, LoRaWAN, and LTE.
Preferred Qualifications:
