Join Our Team as an Industrial Spray Painter/Shot Blaster!

NOV, a leading global innovator in wireline product design and manufacturing for slickline and electric line applications, is a subsidiary of National Oilwell Varco Int. (NOV). We are expanding our team at our Kintore location due to an increase in orders. We are seeking a skilled Industrial Spray Painter/Shot Blaster to join our paint shop team and contribute to delivering precision components for both onshore and offshore applications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Surface Preparation: Execute shot blasting to eliminate rust, scale, and other contaminants from metal surfaces, ensuring optimal paint adhesion.
• Spray Painting: Apply protective coatings to wireline equipment with precision, guaranteeing even coverage and compliance with quality standards.
• Quality Control: Inspect finished components to ensure they meet quality and specification standards. Address any surface or paint imperfections.
• Maintenance: Keep equipment and tools clean and maintained for efficient operation, utilizing 5S and lean principles.
• Health and Safety: Adhere to all safety protocols, wearing appropriate PPE at all times to ensure a safe work environment.
• Collaboration: Partner with the production team to meet project deadlines. Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding project progress and issues.
• Documentation: Accurately record work details, including materials used and time spent on tasks.
• Continuous Improvement: Proactively generate and implement improvement ideas, supporting the site's continuous improvement strategy.
• Equipment Operation: Operate designated equipment safely and competently, maintaining high standards of HSE and housekeeping.
• Support Initiatives: Contribute to key initiatives like on-time delivery, schedule attainment, and quality cost management.

Skills & Experience:

• Demonstrated experience as an industrial spray painter and shot blaster, ideally within a manufacturing setting.
• Technical expertise in surface preparation techniques and spray painting equipment. Knowledge of various coatings is advantageous.
• Exceptional attention to detail for achieving high-quality finishes and adherence to specifications.
• Comprehensive understanding of health and safety regulations pertaining to industrial painting and blasting.
• Proficient in interpreting engineering drawings and applying technical information effectively.
• Able to keep pace with an evolving portfolio of products, services, and systems.
• Provides effective solutions and suggestions for addressing challenges.
