The base salary range for this position is dependent upon experience and location, ranging from to $103,000 to $129,000
Job Summary:
This position, in the Customer Programs and Products group, prospects for and promotes the sale of energy and related products/services to commercial and industrial customers to meet or exceed Avangrid's growth and revenue objectives. This is accomplished through the use of strong negotiating skills to secure customer contracts for energy conversion projects, the building and maintaining of strong customer relationships through the entire conversion process, providing excellent account management for assigned accounts and optimizing customer relationships by serving as the single point of contact and energy expert.
Key Responsibilities:
Conversion Projects responsible for prospecting and converting potential customers using alternate fuels. This is accomplished through:
Large new construction projects (including commercial, multifamily and sub-divisions) responsible for the full life-cycle management of projects requiring significant new infrastructure. This is accomplished through:
Plans and manages strong relationships with commercial and industrial customers to implement and advance company strategies while increasing revenue.
Identify and initiate process improvement through research, planning, change management and training activities to gain efficiencies which increase customer satisfaction, reduce costs and increase profitability.
Proactively manage relationships and work collaboratively with the products and products group, conservation and load management, key account and economic development teams to support achievement of AVANGRID and regulatory targets in these business areas.
Financial Responsibility: Create Revenue Enhancements: $1,000,000

- Determination of customer requirements.
- Confirmation of ability to provide service.
- Developing and providing cost savings analysis.
- Financial analysis of project to determine viability.
- Securing customer agreements and contributions.
Large new construction projects (including commercial, multifamily and sub-divisions) responsible for the full life-cycle management of projects requiring significant new infrastructure. This is accomplished through:
- Collaboration with engineers, developers and architects on project details.
- Development and submittal of project requirements to internal departments for design and costing.
- Determination of financial feasibility of the project and associated customer contributions.
- Execution of service agreements and easements.
- Determination of site readiness and coordination of construction schedule with Operations.
- Coordination of meter installation and turn-on with trade ally.
Plans and manages strong relationships with commercial and industrial customers to implement and advance company strategies while increasing revenue.
- Serve as account manager for assigned large accounts to determine customer's long term energy requirements and strategy.
- Develop and provide on-going analysis and education on complex rate.
- Identify and quantify cost savings opportunities for customers.
- Resolve billing and technical issues related to energy delivery.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree with 5 -7 years energy/utility sales, marketing or customer service experience.
- Master's Degree preferred.
- Knowledge and experience in selling energy, general experience in natural gas or electric technologies, or working with commercial and industrial customers is preferred.
- Knowledge of natural gas and/or electric utility (structure, market, department responsibilities, etc.) as well as tariffs & rate process preferred.
- Advanced sales training is preferred.
- Results oriented with strong critical and creative thinking, decision-making and problem solving skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
- Excellent communicating and influencing skills with the ability to:
- present complex, technical topics to internal and external audiences of various sizes and knowledge levels
- read and interpret tariffs, regulatory orders, federal/local regulations and reports
- Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office, sales platform, etc.)
- Attention to detail and strong analytical, problem solving and negotiating skills.
- Demonstrated ability to determine and implement sales strategies and manage multiple complex projects to meet or exceed sales targets while providing excellent customer service.
- Ability to occasionally work evening and weekend hours.
- Ability to travel.
