If you are a Human Resources professional looking for multi-site leadership, Emerson Appleton Group has an exciting opportunity for you! You will be responsible to lead HR Operations for five sites in North America. The ideal candidate should be an HR leader who has excellent judgement focused on continuous improvement, positive employee relations, aligning HR programs with strategic objectives, and experience with plant and HR operations.

In this role you will also establish credible, based relationships with Plant managers and other site Leaders. demonstrating proven business knowledge and savvy to provide beneficial HR strategies and solutions.

This opportunity is based in Appleton Group's Global HQ in Rosemont, IL or at our Houston, TX Plant working onsite 4 days a week and 1 day remotely.

IN THIS ROLE, YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL BE:
  • This role is responsible for 5 of our North America facilities with a team of HR professionals supporting those sites (Houston, Stephenville, Rainsville, East Granby, Olive Branch)
  • Deliver key HR programs, standard methodologies, and people solutions to our manufacturing teams.
  • Collaborate on planning and development of business/employee related programs and metrics that promote company goals and objectives, oversight of performance management, talent development, employee, labor relations, policies, and operating procedures.
  • Must be able to proactively manage a broad scope of initiatives & interactions from handling individual employee relations issues to providing advising to, and closely partnering with, senior management to effectively own the manufacturing people-related initiatives and the functions within those plants.
  • Drive continuous improvement and consistency of processes to deliver exceptional support across our facilities
  • Finds opportunities to enhance capabilities and productivity for the facilities
  • Build and maintain a strong HR team; promote a culture of high customer service; actively encourage and foster sharing of ideas and cross-functional collaboration
  • Foster an experience-driven talent culture focused on attraction, development, organizational health, and high performance.
  • Empower frontline leaders to foster human-centric interactions, simplify processes, and restore decision-making authority at the appropriate levels.
  • Lead compliance with all regulatory agencies and employment laws in collaboration with Legal/Compliance and business partner(s)
  • Data - Tracks, analyzes, and uses appropriate workforce data from HRIS and other sources to make fact-based organization and people decisions
  • Provide effective leadership in promoting environmental, safety, and health initiatives through positive reinforcement of safe behavior
  • Research and respond to employee concerns and investigate claims and allegations, document findings, recommend, and implement resolution.

FOR THIS ROLE, YOU WILL NEED:
  • A bachelor's degree in a related field
  • 5+ years of relevant professional human resources experience commensurate with the level of this position
  • Experience with managing multiple sites
  • Ability to travel Ability to travel up to 50% between facilities to meet business needs
  • Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now and in the future. Sponsorship will not be provided.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS THAT SET YOU APART:
  • 8+ years of relevant professional human resources experience
  • 4+ years of HR experience in a manufacturing and / or supply chain organization
  • HR Certification such as PHR or SHRM-CP
  • MBA or master's degree is a plus

Our compensation philosophy is simple: we pay a competitive base salary, within the local market in which we operate, and reward performance during the annual merit review process. The total target comp range for this position is $100,000-$130,000 annually, commensurate with the skills, talent, capabilities, and experience each candidate brings to a role.
