Vestas have a fantastic opportunity to join our service operations team in Western Australia as our Regional Service Manager.

As a Regional Manager overseeing service sites in Western Australia, you will be responsible for ensuring optimal operational performance, safety, and customer satisfaction across the region. Your role will involve leading a team, fostering a culture of safety, and ensuring adherence to all operational protocols. You will drive financial performance by managing budgets, analyzing financial data, and implementing cost-saving strategies.

Additionally, you will manage customer relationships, negotiate contracts, and resolve any issues to maintain high satisfaction and retention. A critical part of your role will be to identify and address underperforming sites, turning them around through targeted recovery strategies.

By mentoring your team and ensuring all contractual obligations are met, you'll contribute to the continued success and growth of the region, ensuring that all sites operate efficiently and in line with the organisation's goals.

As the successful candidate you will be based and located in Western Australia, with the ability to visit our operational sites throughout the state along with our clients offices in Perth.

You will be joining and leading a truly passionate team of wind professionals who all strive to keep our turbines running efficiently and safe, achieving agreed upon availability KPI's with our clients.

Responsibilities
  • Cultivate an environment focused on safety at the site, promoting continuous improvement in safety performance
  • Develop and empower your team to efficiently operate and maintain wind turbine plants
  • Establish robust partnerships with clients to guarantee the fulfillment of contractual commitments
  • Manage costs adequately to meet budgetary targets for service contracts
  • Coordinate scheduled maintenance and troubleshooting efforts to optimise turbine performance


Qualifications
  • 15+ years of management experience in a related service field
  • Preferably holds an Engineering background or a Diploma with a Business Management degree


Competencies
  • Proven track record with leadership qualities, stake holder management, Ability to handle customer escalations, Conflict resolution, ability to lead in matrix organisation.
  • Skills in large team / man power handling for effective utilization, experience in Wind energy / Power industry will be advantageous
  • Proficient in business management, with capabilities in fiscal oversight and assessing organizational effectiveness
  • Experience in coaching and motivating teams
  • Proficiency in safety programs, practices, and procedures
  • Highly motivated and accountable, with a proficiency in problem-solving and continuous improvement
  • Previous budgeting and project management experience
  • Well versed in negotiating agreements and ensuring customer satisfaction
  • High on work ethics and integrity
  • Strong business acumen with a customer-focused, solution-oriented, and improvement-driven mindset
  • Financial insight with experience in full P&L responsibility, including knowledge of key figures and KPIs
  • Valid driver's license and passport, with the ability to travel as needed to meet business milestones
