What's the role
This is a great opportunity to join the Shell family - a household name and global brand, as part of the Industrial and Commercial (I&C) Sales team within Shell Energy. Working closely with the UK sales and marketing teams and the wider Shell network, you'll be the first point of contact with our prospective customer audience, with a key focus on lead engagement and generation. As we continue to ramp up growth in the I&C market, you'll play a vital part in contributing to the overarching business objectives; by identifying and qualifying leads across both traditional energy supply (gas & electricity) and renewable energy solutions.
This role is well suited to a strong all-rounder, with excellent communication, data analysis and teamwork skills, alongside a passion to succeed. We're looking for an enthusiastic and driven individual who is keen to develop and grow with the business. Reporting into the I&C Sales Operations Manager, this role provides a brilliant opportunity to join a business at the forefront of the energy transition.

What you'll be doing
You will be responsible for the following:
- To own the prospective customer journey from lead to opportunity.
- To keep Shell Energy at the forefront of our prospective customers' minds, through regular engagement via phone, email and LinkedIn Sales Navigator.
- To support the sales team with winning customers through the tendering process, where required.
- To support the implementation of innovative and measurable marketing campaigns designed to increase sales and grow brand awareness.
- To collaborate with the wider team to deliver physical and virtual events, from trade shows and webinars to in-person customer and partner events.
- To enhance customer journey communications, ensuring consistency with our brand values and tone of voice.
- To generate compelling sales and promotional materials, including product information sheets, presentations, and promotional advertisements.
- May be required to assist in special projects, most notably around direct lead generation.
- To support system set-ups and changes (pricing, contracts etc.) based on the information provided and assists in analysis of information.
- To guide internal stakeholders (e.g. Sales team) based on basic data analysis and provides incidental support (in the set up and amendment of contracts etc.).
- To handle complex activities with moderate variation. Deals with less straightforward questions, adjustment with many sources of information necessary within and outside business supported.
- To provide support in managing multiple processes and systems.
- To work within a limited variety of well-defined procedures and practices (not necessarily standardized) and is supervised on progress and results by manager. Working autonomously within this defined scope, directly supporting management and specialists.
