Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
- Support delivery of new make engines ensuring on time delivery of Production Support tasks (design changes, source substantiation, concessions)
- Main interface between Engineering and Supply Chain and Program Manager for Production Support tasks regarding planning, execution & budget adherence
- Ensure coordination and collaboration with Supply Chain to:
- identify needs and opportunity of producibility improvement, cost reduction, obsolescence management
- define negotiate need dates
- Coordinate with System Engineers and LCE Leader to ensure priorities alignment between Engineering and Supply Chain teams
- Monitor execution of Production Support, Producibility & Cost reduction tasks, escalate as needed, regularly report to Senior Leadership
- Support the Head of H-Series Product Line to develop innovative solutions for Engineering processes supporting Production Support tasks, leveraging Lean principle and methodologies
- Advocate and sponsor adoption of Lean principles and methodologies in both Engineering and Supply Chain organizations, facilitate cross-functional LEAN events
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in mechanical/aerospace engineering or equivalent from an accredited university
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Engineering/Technologies on Aerospace products
- Horizontal leadership & influence
- Clear communication skills
- Clear thinker and effective problem solver
- Broad Technical Expertise/Depth
- Team Leadership and Prog Mgt/Execution
- Lead teams without direct reporting
- Cross product/engine platform network
- Airworthiness & Certification knowledge, good knowledge of Part 21 regulations
- Good knowledge of English language, both written and oral
