As an Advanced Application Engineer here at Honeywell, you will be responsible for designing and implementing advanced applications to meet the needs of our customers. You will play a critical role in developing innovative solutions and providing technical support to our customers. This is an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact in the field of application engineering and contribute to the overall success of Honeywell. You will report directly to our General Manager, and you'll travel up to 50% of the time, while working out of your home or out of our site in Buffalo, NY.

Technical service and marketing (TS&M) group is responsible for assisting with HVAC/R OEM's, end users, contractors and sales personnel to promote and qualify Honeywell's new and existing HVAC/R refrigerant and other related technical and service offerings. The group's primary responsibility includes assisting on customer sales calls, assisting in technical field trials, answering both internal and external customer technical questions, providing feedback to the R&D group for new product development and to assist in prototyping new products with customers and to assist in making industry-wide presentations on trends regarding new technological innovations and trends.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Own the groups process System data, refrigeration system data analysis, analyze and docu-ment results of refrigerant/control changes in commercial systems.
• Assist with development of technical marketing literature and data.
• Follow up SFDC customer inquiry and expand its scope, lead generation.
• Field technical service calls
• Assist in field trials/refrigerant conversions
• Assist sales in customer visits and make technical presentation
• Interact with R&D team on new product development, facilitate field tests of prototypes

Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. Person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status or have the ability to obtain an export authorization.

The annual base salary range for this position is $107,000 - $134,000 . Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. Honeywell considers various factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate's work experience, education and training, key skills, as well as market and business considerations.
The application period for the job is estimated to be 40 days from the job posting date; however, this may be shortened or extended depending on business needs and the availability of qualified candidates.

In October, 2024 Honeywell announced the spin-off of our Advanced Materials business to become a stand-alone publicly traded company, independent of Honeywell. Our intention is that this role, dedicated to the Advanced Materials business, will be a part of this future transaction when the separation occurs.

YOU MUST HAVE
• Bachelor's degree

• 5+ years of commercial refrigeration experience or 4 years work with a consultant or engineering firm specializing in commercial refrigeration, supermarket systems knowledge a plus

• 2+ years as consultant or sales/marketing commercial refrigeration systems or components

• Experience in delivering presentations, educational seminars, and trainings

WE VALUE
• Relevant certifications in application engineering

• Previous experience in product research and development at manufacturers of AC or refrigeration equipment are also highly desirable

• Solid knowledge of HVAC/R technology, thermodynamics, heat transfer, and related subjects

• Strong computer skills, and excellent oral and written communications skills

• Strong interpersonal, customer-focused, and leadership skills
