Advanced Test Engineer position in the SIL MT group is an experienced professional responsible to lead the Control Systems (CS) Mechanical Test (MT) Electric Design function (eDesign team) for the development of Electrical design concepts, 2D drafting and coordinate the generation of Electrical drawings for the manufacturing, installation and setup of special electrical test equipment for the new test solutions needed at Hon Test Facilities in the Mexicali Campus and cross-site programs. Electrical Special Test Equipment (STE) includes but it is not limited to Electropneumatic and Control test systems design, Electrical Interfaces to Facility Power sources, Electrical Interface and power distribution panels, Units Under Test Electrical Interfaces definition, BOM definition, Change Management process, Configuration Management definition, among other electrical test design aspects. eDesign team is also responsible for engineering substantiation thru analytical capabilities, design proposals creation using 2D CAD software and coordinate the design review phase gates required to define a test solution per the Hon Aerospace Engineering Process (AEP.)
Job Requirements
• Lead CS MT eDesign team by coaching/mentoring, executing resources planning, workload distributions and developing the required skills by knowledge transfer process and training.
• Define Electrical Design Concepts based on test requirements and available footprint and facility electrical energy sources and interfaces for new Facility Test Systems and/or Facility required modifications to install electrical components and other test assets that involves new test capabilities to be implemented at Hon Mexicali Campus
• Develop electrical systems design processes. Define one-line diagrams, electrical schematics and electrical detailed drawings with the required understanding of most common manufacturing processes and Hon design standards for aircraft component test conceptualization.
• Generate Test solutions using Computer Aid Design (CAD) models (proficient using AutoCAD electrical.) Have the capability to build complex electric diagrams, drafting and assemblies. Build basic 2D electrical schematics to represent the concept design and support validation
• Create evidence and documentation for the Design Reviews required to consolidate the Test Solutions design process
• Create BOMs, identify long lead items, create RFQs and coordinate material procurement process
• Understanding of drawing electric drawing standards to support x-site test programs and ISC Test Systems troubleshooting.
• Proficiency of Microsoft Office Applications. Position is responsible of electrical design process and present status to project stakeholders in a regular basis
• Keep tracking and document Lesson Learned, best practices, cost and cycle time reduction opportunities associated with the Mechanical Design process
• Demonstrate proficiency in oral and written communication in Spanish and English. Effective communication with management, test leads and Hon MRTC support groups

YOU MUST HAVE
- Bachelor' degree
- English proficiency
- Experience in electrical design
- Capable of reading Electrical drawings and schematics
- Autocad knowledge
