The purpose of this position is to monitor the City's water supply by assessing conditions at water and wastewater stations. This is accomplished by taking daily samples of water to monitor chlorine levels and maintaining chlorine booster stations. Other duties may include making repairs to stations, cooperating with other utility contractors, City crews and citizens by providing necessary assistance and interfacing with other City employees and citizens. This position does not provide direction to other employees.

How You Add Value
- Provides premier customer service to internal and external customers by responding to requests in a timely and professional manner. Supervises the location and marking of utility lines by confirming permits and receipt of work orders, flagging utility lines and painting locations for the utility lines.
- Monitors City's water supply by daily sampling water chlorine levels, loading and unloading chlorine and ammonia cylinders as necessary, SCADA monitoring by computer, maintain and repair water pump stations, water storage tanks, water well, and wastewater lift stations.
- Monitors City's water supply by collecting bacteriological samples and transporting to the lab for analysis.
- Cooperates with other utility contractors, City crews and citizens by providing necessary assistance, jet cleaning sewer lines, participating in on-site meetings, providing help and information that is requested and handling customer complaints.
- Maintain adequate disinfection levels within water distribution system by taking analytical samples and maintaining chloramine booster stations.
- Regular attendance required.
What You Bring to the Role
- High school or GED required with knowledge of a specific vocational, administrative, or technical nature which may be obtained with six months/one year of advanced study or training past the high school equivalency.
- At least 2 years of related experience required.
- Valid TX Driver's License required.
- TNRCC Class C Water Distribution and Class II Collection License required.
- Ability to obtain TNRCC Class B Water Distribution and Class III Collection License, when eligible.
