Wood is recruiting for a Senior Business Controller to join its Iraq business unit focusing on supervising and coordinating the work of personnel involved in cost analysis, quarterly performance review and work program and budget follow-up for a Major Onshore Brownfield Project in Basra, Iraq.
This role is a full-time on-site role in Basra, Iraq with travel requirement.

Key Objectives
- Basic Function and Scope:
- Supervises and coordinates the work of personnel involved in cost analysis, quarterly performance review and work program and budget follow-up
- Tasks and Duties:
- Supervises the activities of assigned personnel engaged in plan/cost control of business units in WQIFOD. Performs supervisory responsibility at the level established by management for the position
- Prepares management reports and Key Point Indicators (KPI) etc. and submits to section head for review and processing. Includes selecting, reviewing and analyzing various forecasted operating plans and preparing KPIs accordingly
- Builds-up and monitors the planning database for all operations. Ensures that all costs and activities are properly inputted into the databases
- Administers the database and recommends to supervisor any significant changes to format data to be included and reports to be generated
- Compiles in a monthly report budget variances and submits to supervisor for further action
- Carries out other similar or related duties such as preparing ad hoc reports, preparing analysis on Work Programs and Budgets as required, etc.
- Work Contacts:
- Frequent contacts with Section Heads and Managers in WQIFOD to receive and give information related to planning and budget matters.

Expected:
- MBA /B.A. Degree in Business Administration, Business Administration, Planning or equivalent.
- 6 years' experience in planning and budget analysis (Flexible for exceptionally qualified).
- Fluency in English.
- Knowledge of computer software applications.
