JOB DESCRIPTION

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Load and unload high temperature oven for pouring process.
• Support melt function through filtering, hot top and cover and mold repair.
• Responsible for temperature control/deslag procedure.
• Complete the tear down and rebuild of melt pots.
• Perform other work-related tasks as assigned.
• Comply with all NOV Company and HSE policies and procedures.

FACILITY/GROUP SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

• Read work orders.
• Fill out labor tickets.
• Stage work orders for melt.
• Support melt functions.
• Stage work orders for knock out.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS

• Must possess a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must be able to read and write in English.
• Basic computer knowledge required.
• General quality control knowledge required.
• Knowledge and experience in investment casting (lost wax) process preferred.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Overtime may be required during weekdays, weekends, and holidays.
• The melt area is subject to changes in temperature. In the summertime, temperatures can rise to 115 degrees Fahrenheit. Employees must stay hydrated. A/C drop down tubes are provided at all foundry operations. In the wintertime, temperatures can dip below freezing. As castings cool (under extreme conditions), special precautions must be made to ensure quality. Operators must be able to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly. Proper lifting techniques are necessary.
