CBRE's Renewable Advisory Group is looking for a motivated Distributed Generation Manager to assist the team in analytics, RFP management, and customer engagement in relation to onsite solar, battery storage projects, fuel cells, and other forms of generation both Behind of the Meter and Front of the Meter.

CBRE's Renewable Advisory has a start-up like culture that requires innovation and agility from all of its team members. This position is for an individual who is highly analytical and passionate about renewables. You'll be responsible running financial models to support renewable procurement decisions and presenting analytical findings in a clear and concise manner. Candidates will get an opportunity to be creative in building dashboards using visualization tools to maximize our offerings and support to customers.

You will have an opportunity to work directly with all team members and learn about every aspect of the business. The ideal candidate will have a combination of technical proficiency (Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint), strong communication and presentation skills, attention to detail, and high levels of organization.

Candidates with an entrepreneurial spirit and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced and exciting work environment will do well in this role as time management and the ability to meet short deadlines is critical to success.

What you'll do:
  • Utilize existing excel models, and subscription tools/ services, to conduct financial evaluations of an energy project's economic performance
  • Capability to understand value propositions of both Front of the Meter vs Behind the Meter projects sited on client property which actively or passively participate in local programs including but not limited to community solar, Demand Response, Net Metering, and more
  • Utilize available mapping software to conduct site analysis for the potential installation of solar and battery storage projects
  • Conduct market research and analyses for strategic planning purposes
  • Manage administrative processes such as project database management and customer reporting
  • Summarize deep dive research into various topics and craft detailed presentations on these topics to team
What you'll need:
  • A record of academic and professional achievement, well developed communication skills, the ability to collaborate well with a small team, proven organizational acumen working on multiple projects, and a high level of motivation are vital in this role
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Detail oriented and able to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to continuously prioritize effectively
  • 2-6 years of experience working in energy, renewables, or finance
  • Experience with an Independent Power Producer, energy project developer, consulting agency, energy buyer, or asset manager
  • Familiarity with energy programs and asset operations
  • Transaction experience with a record of success in completing new projects
  • Project management
  • GIS experience a plus
  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future

CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate's education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for the position is $180,000 annually and the maximum salary for the position is $200,000 annually. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience. Successful candidates will also be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on CBRE's applicable benefit program.
