We have been selected as a Large Prime Contractor by the Defense Health Agency to provide Medical Support Services at Medical Treatment Facilities across the Country.

KBR is seeking a Social Worker to provide essential support services to military personnel, veterans and their families. This role involves delivering counseling, crisis intervention, case management and resource coordination to help service members navigate personal and professional challenges.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Participate in Utilization Management/Case Management meetings to review and identify opportunities to improve treatment provided and recommend corrective action when problems exist.
  • Participate in the provision of monthly in-service training for nonhealthcare-practitioner members of the clinical and administrative staff on subjects germane to social work and social work CM services.
  • Primary contact to coordinate admission, discharge, and transition to and through higher levels of care.
  • Focal point for community, patient and other agency referrals. - Interface with the Military Treatment Facility ( MTF) RN Case Manager(s) in the development and implementation of the Case Management Program (CMP).
  • Develop local strategies that use the strength and disciplines of both nursing and social work to accomplish case management.
  • Provide assistance in the development and implementation of educational programs.
  • Additionally, the social work case manager may be required to provide those services identified under Licensed Clinical Social Worker.

REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
  • Degree: Master's degree in Social Work (MSW).
  • Education: Graduate from a School of Social Work fully accredited by the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE).
  • Certification: Recommend to possess certification as a Certified Advanced Social Work Case Manager (C-ASWCM) by the National Association of Social Workers but not required.
  • Experience: Possess experience of 1-2 years of Case Management or Clinical experience.
  • Licensure: Actively working to obtain current, full, active, and unrestricted license to practice as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker to be completed by 1 year upon hire
