Job Responsibilities:
- Perform all aspects of instrument design and be able to perform both 2D and 3D design work independently (hands-on)
- Be fully responsible and accountable for all design activities
- Competent in performing 3D modeling of equipment, supports, trays, and 3D cable routing using AVEVA E3D/S3D software, including setup and clash resolution
- Competent in extracting drawings/documents from 3D models such as equipment layouts, antenna general arrangement, MTO, and cable schedule
- Proficient in performing 3D cable routing
- Conduct 3D model reviews for instruments and their interfaces
- Develop 2D drawings including schematic diagrams, block diagrams, interconnection diagrams, cable routing layouts, and installation details
- Develop lists including cable schedules and equipment lists
- Produce MTO for instrument materials such as cables, cable glands, installation material, JB, hook material, and equipment supports
- Provide solutions and resolve comments related to design
- Develop weight reports for instruments
- Provide input and coordinate with other disciplines for cable trays, MCT, trimmers, etc.
Job Requirements:
- Diploma in Electrical and Electronics/Instrumentation Engineering
- At least 15 years of experience in instrumentation design in the offshore/oil and gas industry, including greenfield and brownfield design
- Strong instrumentation background, knowledge, and understanding
- Ability to work independently and lead design activities
- Team player with the ability to interact with colleagues from other disciplines, clients, and suppliers
- Proficient in 3D modeling software, including AVEVA E3D, PDMS, and SP3D
- Proficient in 2D AutoCAD and MicroStation
- Site survey experience preferred
