The Opportunity:

KBR's MSP Aerospace team is looking for an experienced Project Risk Coordinator to work within our Guided Weapons and Explosive Ordnance (GWEO) IWP in support of exciting defence projects for the Commonwealth of Australia.

You will be responsible for coordinating, documenting, and governing the GWEO project teams risks, issues, and opportunities, in accordance with the Defence Risk Management Framework.

This role will be fast paced and diverse in nature, and will provide plenty of room to be challenged, grow, and provide knowledge and expertise back into the GWEO project team.

This role is located in Canberra, ACT.

Responsibilities:
  • Coordinating risk reviews to identify and assess risks, issues and opportunities
  • Prepare and submit risk statements and assessments using Defence policies and procedures
  • Utilise Defence approved risk management platform, Predict! and other(s) as required, due to the nature of the risk
  • Support monthly governance and reporting
  • Support establishment of risks, mitigation strategies and controls to manage risks, issues, and opportunities
  • Other tasks as required related to risks, issues, and opportunities management

As the ideal candidate you will bring:
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications or industry and/or domain work experience for the class of risks being dealt with (e.g. engineering, technical, logistics, commercial, etc.).
  • Defence risk coordination and management experience
  • Experience with Predict!
  • Experience with Acquisition and Sustainment risk management
  • Experience coordinating and governing risk procedures
  • Stakeholder engagement expertise

All candidates will be required to hold and maintain an active Negative Vetting 1 Defence Security Clearance. Only candidates holding an NV1 Clearance or above should apply.
