The Opportunity:

KBR's MSP Aerospace team is looking for an experienced Capability Analyst to join our Guided Weapons and Explosive Ordnance (GWEO) IWP program of work in support of exciting defence projects for The Commonwealth of Australia.

As a Capability Analyst, you will be responsible for undertaking qualitative and quantitative analysis of a range of data sources on capability acquisition and sustainment activities, as well as provide support through governance and assurance, and program reporting.

This role will be fast paced and diverse in nature, and will provide plenty of room to be challenged, grow, and provide knowledge and expertise back to the GWEO project team as the subject matter expert on capability analysis.

This role is located in Canberra, ACT.

Responsibilities:
  • Synthesise information and extract strategic level briefing knowledge from analysis
  • Undertake qualitative and quantitative analysis
  • Prepare executive briefings for governance and ad-hoc activities in accordance with Defence policies and procedures
  • Lead or coordinate monthly governance reporting
  • Identify and implement mitigation strategies to manage risk, issues, and opportunities relating to governance of programmatic objectives
  • Other tasks as reasonably required related to program delivery of capability acquisition and sustainment

As the ideal candidate you will bring:
  • Relevant qualifications or proven industry experience in Defence acquisition and/or sustainment delivery
  • Experience with Defence governance and assurance platforms (PPRIP, MRM)
  • Experience with Defence systems (financial, budget, capability requirements, delivery plans, etc.)
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Demonstrated initiative and capacity to solve problems

All candidates will be required to hold and maintain an active Negative Vetting 1 Defence Security Clearance. Only candidates holding an NV1 Clearance or above should apply.
