Position Overview:

Motiva's Chemicals Facility is looking to hire Maintenance Mechanics (Boilermakers/Pipefitters/Welders) to join our team in Port Arthur. As a Maintenance Mechanic, you will perform preventative and predictive maintenance activities, including documentation on industrial piping systems, heat exchangers, all types of valves, drums, and vessels, along with other mechanical equipment.

Responsibilities:

• Perform field maintenance tasks including equipment troubleshooting, installation/removal, repair blinding and torquing.
• Perform repairs on process piping systems and ensure proper documentation of the repair, including equipment condition history within SAP.
• Troubleshoot tube leaks.
• Remove exchanger internal/external components.
• Install, perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot, and repair all types of valves including MOV's, PRV's, and ERV's.
• Assemble and disassemble flanged bolted connections on piping and field equipment.
• Maintain piping systems in the refinery.
• Perform other general maintenance activities, including work with cranes, forklifts, and other lifting equipment.
• Adhere to safe work practices and work permitting procedures.

Experience and Qualifications:

Required Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma or equivalent education
• 5+ years of journeyman level pipefitter, boilermaker, welder or comparable experience
• Must currently hold or be able to qualify to receive a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) card at time of hire

Preferred Education and Experience:

• NCCER Certifications

Physical Requirements:

• Willing and able to work outside in inclement weather with or without accommodation

• Willing and able to work at heights, walk on high elevation grating and to walk up and down stairs with or without accommodation

This role is subject to a pre-hire physical abilities test.
