JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Summary

NOV FGS is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to support our fiberglass tank and piping systems. The ideal candidate will act as a versatile technical resource across multiple functions including Sales, Customer Service, Operations, and Field Service. This role involves engineering analysis, design calculations, product and tooling drawings, and oversight of outsourced engineering activities to ensure quality and compliance with project requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform detailed engineering calculations and design verifications related to fiberglass tanks and piping systems.
• Develop and prepare accurate and detailed CAD drawings using AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
• Provide technical support to internal teams including Sales, Plant Operations, Engineering Support, and Field Service.
• Maintain and update the product costing program and collaborate with the Costing team to ensure accurate project budgeting.
• Participate in internal and client-facing meetings, ensuring alignment of engineering deliverables with customer expectations.
• Communicate effectively across global teams, utilizing various channels to overcome time zone differences.
• Support the Engineering and Project teams throughout the project lifecycle to ensure seamless execution.
• Lead the technical team during customer and external QMS audits.
• Ensure customer satisfaction through proactive engagement and high-quality project delivery.
• Perform other engineering-related tasks as assigned by the Manager.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical or Materials Engineering (required).
• 5-10 years of relevant experience in fiberglass tank and piping design.
• Proven expertise in AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
• Prior experience in marine or offshore projects (preferred).
• Project management experience is a plus.
• Proficiency in English, with excellent oral and written communication skills.
