Mission

Key Accountabilities
- Acts as a professional specialist for the organization in the application of related Rules, Regulations, requirements, concepts, principles, and processes.
- Prepares technically accurate and timely reports of inspections and surveys performed.
- Maintains survey files in an orderly and up-to-date manner in area of responsibility.
- Maintains active awareness of new working methods and developments affecting the technical scope of assigned responsibilities.
- Recommends new approaches to problems encountered.
- Performs routine surveys on classed ships, platforms or other marine structures and at manufacturers sites for compliance with classification and statutory requirements.
- Engages in contact with clients to solve problems within area of expertise.
- Ensure vessels comply with international regulations (IMO, SOLAS, MARPOL) and classification society rules.
- Liaise with shipowners, charterers, insurance companies, and port authorities
- Support audits for ISM/ISPS/MLC compliance where required
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of changes in regulations and industry best practices.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture, or a related field (or equivalent seagoing experience).
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Marine Surveyor or in a relevant marine engineering/officer role.
- Solid understanding of vessel engineering systems, marine machinery, and international maritime regulations.
- Good proficiency of German and English, both spoken and written.
- Proficiency in survey-related software and general technical tools.
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative, client-focused attitude.
- High standards of integrity, professionalism, and ethical conduct.
- Well-organized, proactive, and able to manage time and documentation effectively.
- Willingness and ability to travel both domestically and internationally.
- Valid driver's license and passport.
