This full-time contract position offers you the opportunity to ensure material availability and drive procurement strategies while working onsite in beautiful Juno Beach, Florida.
Role Overview
- Execute the materials management process for assigned areas including production planning, replenishment, and inventory stocking levels.
- Interact with assigned operating business units, legal experts, and ISC personnel.
- Engage with the supplier community and industry analysts.
- Physically receive, issue, warehouse, and ship materials as required.
- Initiate, negotiate, and contract spot buys while managing related suppliers.
- Analyze responses to material bid requests and provide recommendations for supplier selection.
- Prepare simple materials supply agreements and conduct negotiations with limited oversight.
- Participate on materials management project teams.
- Recommend and communicate materials management strategy to supervision and ISC management.
- Develop and maintain relationships with business units and suppliers.
- Provide market data to support supplier selection and performance management.
- Drive down the total cost of ownership through effective procurement strategies.
- Develop new sources of supply for spot buys and monitor ongoing supplier performance.
- Resolve invoice discrepancies and assist in managing external spend.
- Conduct business dealings with integrity and adherence to corporate guidelines.
Skills & Qualifications
- Administration of Subcontracts: Proficient in managing subcontractual agreements.
- Administration of Prime Contracts: Skilled in handling prime contracts effectively.
- Procurement: Strong understanding of procurement processes and strategies.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Leadership Skills: Capable of leading initiatives and collaborating with teams.
- Interpersonal Skills: Strong ability to build relationships with stakeholders.
Education & Experience
- Undergraduate degree preferred in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or related fields.
- Entry-level position in materials management.
