An excellent career opportunity is currently available for a Lead R&D Engr/Scientist - Clean Hydrogen and Carbon Capture at Honeywell India Technology Center in Gurugram. This position focuses on accelerating the development and commercialization of breakthrough Clean Hydrogen and Carbon Capture technologies to meet the rapidly expanding customer demand for decarbonization solutions. This role will be accountable for leading the development of breakthrough technologies as well as developing integrated solutions across UOP's Hydrogen and Gas Processing technology portfolio.
Position Responsibilities:
• Lead or support New Product Development (NPD) programs made up of cross-functional teams to develop integrated technology solutions from ideation through commercialization.
• Leverage project management best practices including Agile development methodologies to meet technology delivery commitments on schedule and within budget constraints.
• Lead and/or guide pilot plant experimentation and drive the use of model-based design of experiments (MBDOE) to accelerate technology delivery and identify innovation opportunities.
• Develop local expertise in the areas of green hydrogen, carbon capture, biogas and other gas processing technologies.
• Provide support to the sales support and engineering functions to ensure technology offerings maximize customer value delivery as well as Honeywell value capture.
• Build awareness of the market, competition, and new developments. Contribute to technology strategy development to build a strong pipeline of sustainable solutions that will drive growth.
• Identify novel technology solutions and author invention disclosures to contribute to the innovation effort at Honeywell UOP

- You Must Have:
• Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering of chemistry
• 8+ years of experience in Technology, Engineering, Research & Development, or Technical Service role, preferably in the area of gas processing technologies.
We Value:
• Strong understanding of chemistry/chemical engineering fundamentals and application in process, catalyst and/or adsorbent technology development
• Experience in chemical reaction model development, chemical reaction engineering and process design.
• Experience in developing and executing experimental plans including the use of statistical tools for data analysis.
• Knowledge of Six Sigma concepts and their application in managing risk and uncertainty.
• Strong business acumen and entrepreneurial mindset in the development of technology development strategies and NPD programs.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to lead or work on multi-disciplinary teams across different time zones and cultures.
• Advanced degree (Masters, PhD) in Chemical Engineering or Chemistry.
