Location: Coventry/Solihull
12 month Fixed-Term Contract
You will lead and support finance activities related to new business and strategic projects for City Energy Solutions (CES) heat businesses in the UK. Your key responsibilities will include investment case analysis, performance monitoring and reporting, financial modelling and analytics, and ensuring robust governance and controls.

Senior Finance Business Partner
Here's what you'll be doing
Salary: £60,601 - £73,963 along with a market leading benefits package
Location: Coventry/Solihull
12 month Fixed-Term Contract
You will lead and support finance activities related to new business and strategic projects for City Energy Solutions (CES) heat businesses in the UK. Your key responsibilities will include investment case analysis, performance monitoring and reporting, financial modelling and analytics, and ensuring robust governance and controls.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the development of business cases and scenarios for the City Energy Solutions (CES) business
- Conduct financial analyses to aid decision-making, including cost-benefit analysis, ROI calculations, and financial modelling
- Implement cost control measures to ensure projects stay within budget, identifying and addressing any financial risks and developing risk mitigation strategies
- Provide financial analysis, insights, and recommendations to support decision-making and drive business performance
- Oversee financial planning and forecasting processes, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
- Support finance activities for CES strategic projects; be a key conduit between the finance and business/project teams coordinating data submissions
- Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders
What we need from you
- Proven experience as a Senior Finance Business Partner or similar role
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights
- Experience of implementing and managing core financial processes to appropriate level of rigour
- Exceptional relationship building and communication skills with the ability to influence and work effectively across external and internal stakeholders
- Energy, drive, determination and enthusiasm and an ability to work to tight deadlines
- Proficiency in financial management software and advanced MS Excel skills
- Membership of a professional accounting institute (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with PQE
