Are you a hands-on Instrument Technician looking for your next contract role? Our client is offering an excellent opportunity to join a multi-skilled team , where safety and operational performance are key. You’ll be working in a technically challenging environment, helping to maintain the site’s instrumentation and control systems that support the processing of gas from offshore fields.

Based on a 7 days on / 7 days off rotation, working 12-hour shifts.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain and repair a wide range of instruments and control systems to ensure safe and efficient plant operation
  
  
• Carry out preventative maintenance in line with schedules and procedures
  
  
• Diagnose faults and perform breakdown repairs with minimal disruption to production
  
  
• Accurately complete maintenance records in Maximo and raise work requests for any defects
  
  
• Manage calibration gases and spares for testing gas monitoring equipment
  
  
• Support shutdown planning and execution
  
  
• Work closely with contractors and vendors on site activities
  
  
• Promote and uphold strict Health, Safety & Environmental standards
  
  

What You’ll Need:

• Time-served trade apprenticeship in Instrumentation or similar
  
  
• HNC (or equivalent) in a relevant engineering discipline
  
  
• Compex certification is essential
  
  
• Experience working with turbine control systems is highly desirable
  
  
• Knowledge of compression fittings and small bore tubing would be an advantage
  
  
• A proactive, safety-focused mindset and good fault-finding ability
  
  
• Must reside in or near east Riding of Yorkshire
