This position provides an exciting opportunity to advance your VECE Engineering career within one of the Honeywell's most profitable and dynamic Business units. This Sourcing Leader role is responsible for driving and supporting projects that focuses on product life cycle management to include obsolescence, cost reductions, and design for supply chain resiliency actions. The position is in Honeywell's HBT portfolio for commercial life and safety systems to include products such as Fire alarm panels, detectors, voice alarm systems etc. The role requires an entrepreneurial approach to apply sourcing project management and leadership skills in a global environment while coordinating with cross functional team in design centers, sourcing, manufacturing, quality, and regulatory teams to generate and implement cost saving.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead a team of CE Project Managers, overseeing the prioritization and allocation of projects to achieve CE savings targets
• Work closely with sourcing, procurement, engineering teams, product managers, and stakeholders to align project prioritization with overall product goals and timelines
• Prioritize ideas to focus on the most impactful and feasible projects
  Define events agenda and execution in collaboration with the Ideation Leader
• Implement best practices to ensure consistent and high-quality outcomes

Key skills and qualifications

• Proven experience in value engineering/ component engineering

• Project management experience and skills

• 3 years plus leadership experience, with the ability to manage and mentor a team.

• Strong knowledge of value engineering techniques and cost optimization strategies.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and with external suppliers.

• Experience in the Fire industry is a plus
