The Vestas Northern Central Europe business unit is responsible for the Sales, Project, Installation and Service of wind farms throughout the NCE region. The NCE Offshore Service Project Support is one of four teams in the Special Projects Department, and we focus on supporting the other teams of the department. The Project Support department is responsible for ensuring a high-quality customer experience when completing projects for our customers, aiding service sites in conducting special campaigns and internal project support within the department. We are now seeking our new Quality Project Manager who will be a crucial support to the Project Managers of the department on quality matters throughout the whole project chain (project execution to site/customer handover).

Responsibilities
The position will provide guidance and assistance to every Project team concerning Quality audits and inspections. Further, the main responsibilities include, but not limited to:
  • Point of contact for Quality related issues and responsible for following through until cases are resolved: this could be both towards customers, internally or vendors in alignment with right stakeholder
  • Ensure effective Quality Management setup and implementation (QA/QC Plans) at sites through the whole project by establishing Quality Assurance and Quality Control Plan application at site to systematically ensure that all quality related deliverables are ready on time and adhere to technical and quality standards
  • Secure identification and elimination of quality deviations via non-conformance reporting and resolution, provide periodical analysis of case handling, initiate and promote all necessary systemic corrective actions and lesson learnt within Special Projects
  • Manage and train Quality Inspectors for each project and own the Inspection program, including pre-dispatch Inspection Audit, Incoming Inspection, Project Scope Inspection and Contractor Site Audit
  • Secure all projects' Quality related documentation in place and delivered according to agreed deadlines
  • Manage communication with the main internal and external stakeholders regarding projects' quality status, including escalation on critical issues
  • Collaborate with onsite project quality teams to monitor incoming product quality, timely identification of specific areas of concern, and ensure that key project stages meet Quality standards


Qualifications
We anticipate that applicants will bring experience from a similar role. Moreover, we hope that you can recognize yourself in the following:
  • Engineering or Technical background, preferably from the wind industry or mechanical/electrical and technical understanding of a WTG
  • Experience with project management methodology, frameworks and tools
  • Good knowledge of quality methodologies, tools (APQP/PPAP, problem solving methods, 8D and Six Sigma)
  • Certified ISO 9001 Lead Auditor
  • Experience in non-conformance handling with internal and external suppliers/customer
  • Fluent in English (verbally and in writing)
  • Good IT skills, especially MS Project or Primavera

Additional information
The language required for this role is fluent level of English. The primary work location is Aarhus, Denmark but could also be remote in Copenhagen, DK or in the UK (based out of the nearest Vestas office). The role requires approximately 30 days of travel per year, mainly to Vestas sites or for team gatherings.
