This critical role combines leadership, technical expertise, and strategic planning to ensure every installation exceeds our high standards and contributes to the department's profitability and success.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Leadership: Provide mentorship and guidance to the installation team, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure all installations comply with local codes and meet McCullough's rigorous quality standards, with a goal of 95%+ first- time pass rates for internal quality control.
  • Operational Efficiency:

o Collaborate with the sales team to optimize job efficiency and accuracy. It is the responsibility of the Installation Manager to identify any obstacles caused during the sales process to ensure the installation team is set up for success. Provide constructive feedback to the sales team to streamline future installations.

o Maintain a good working relationship with the installation coordinator. It is the responsibility of the installation manager to ensure that all jobs are properly permitted, all necessary warranty and rebate paperwork is filed and any necessary scheduling and or coordinating is done efficiently. Maintaining a good working relationship with the installation coordinator will ensure this process is handled smoothly and customer satisfaction is maintained at the highest standards.

o Ensure all Jobs are fully prepared for the next day's operations. Coordinate with the warehouse manager to ensure proper materials are stocked in the warehouse and all future job equipment and materials are prepared in advance of the job scheduled date.

o Ensure all installation teams arrive at jobs by 8AM and fully complete the job by the end of the day (unless the job set up specifies a multi-day install).

Profitability Management: Take ownership of gross margin for the installation department by addressing key drivers like:

o Controlling labor costs.

o Minimizing recalls and property damage.

o Reducing material shrinkage.

o Ensuring excellent customer service.

o Coordinate to ensure company vehicles assigned to the installation department are properly maintained and kept clean.
  • Team Development: Conduct weekly installation meetings that include technical training, process updates, KPI reviews, and other essential topics designed to develop installation team members.
  • Administrative Oversight:

o Manage payroll submissions to meet deadlines.

o Guide the quality control team to uphold high standards.
  • Proper Communication: Ensure all emails, texts, and phone calls are handled promptly and professionally to maintain effective communication with team members, customers, and other stakeholders.
  • Customer Relations: Deliver outstanding customer service and resolve concerns promptly and professionally.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong time management and organizational abilities.
  • In-depth knowledge of local codes for all serviced municipalities.
  • EPA Certification.
  • At least 3 years of lead installation experience, with a passion for delivering top-tier quality and providing mentorship to team members.

Work Environment:

This role requires a combination of office and fieldwork. The position is demanding year-round, with peak workloads during prime seasons that may require long hours and steadfast dedication to the team and customers.
