JOB DESCRIPTION

NOV Drilling & Intervention is seeking a qualified and experienced Operations & Quality Supervisor to join our team in Egypt. This role plays a key part in supporting the location's operations by ensuring the consistent delivery of high-quality services to our clients. The successful candidate will be responsible for forecasting equipment needs, identifying and resolving technical challenges, and contributing to innovative solutions. You will work closely with field management to address technical issues and support the successful rollout of new services and equipment, ensuring clear communication throughout the service delivery process.

Key Responsibilities:

Quality, HSE, and Reliability

• Assess location-specific HSE risks and implement appropriate mitigation measures.
• Develop and implement HSE plans to ensure compliance with NOV's HSE policies, standards, and procedures.
• Ensure all non-conformance, Quality, and HSE events are properly reported, investigated, and followed up in accordance with the NOV QMS.
• Participate in investigations of major incidents, failures, or accidents as required.
• Coordinate annual QHSE reviews with HQ and client representatives.
• Collect and analyze reliability data to identify repeat issues and drive continuous improvement.
• Conduct regular (daily/monthly) audits across processes, identifying root causes, closing gaps, and verifying technician competency.
• Ensure maintenance and servicing of rental and newly built equipment comply with both business and international standards.

Assets, Facilities & Maintenance

• Monitor calibration of all tools and equipment.
• Document best practices and lessons learned from field operations in the appropriate knowledge management system.
• Oversee intra-regional equipment loans, transfers, and operational support.
• Manage asset and inventory counts, and monitor rental fleet utilization.
• Serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Business Unit-specific QHSE knowledge, ensuring best practices, alerts, and lessons learned are shared across locations.
• Lead CAPEX planning, procurement, and optimization of assets.
• Maintain effective infrastructure and facilities across the MENA region.
• Liaise with the Technical Services organization to ensure proper documentation, resource allocation, budgeting, and competency development.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or an equivalent technical discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in oilfield operations, preferably in maintenance or a service shop environment.
• Familiarity with international certifications such as ISO 9001 and API.
• Strong understanding of field operations, with proven QA/QC and HSE knowledge.
• Effective leadership, planning, and team management skills.
• Strong organizational and communication abilities.
